WHEN YOU JUST HAVE TO CRY

October 18, 2012, 5:52 PM

Ecclesiastes 3:4 says
A time to weep,
And a time to laugh………………………………..................

New Living Translation puts it as “ a time to cry”. And, I cannot agree any less that indeed, there comes a time when you just have to cry because of so many things. If the jungle justice recently meted out to four young students isn’t enough to make you cry, then the floods that are ravaging different parts of the country rendering people homeless and without food is enough to, if missing your sister  wouldn’t draw the tears then the death anniversary of a loved one should( ADIEU, Oyindamola Ariyo!). What of God’s goodness? Sometimes, when you think of the fact that you are saved by God’s grace and that you didn’t work for it, that you just kept on sinning and even after being saved, you still need that exceptional grace of God to keep from sinning, it’s enough to trigger the waterfalls.
But  you know what? I recall hearing someone say one day, that “It is not your tears that moves God”. It is your prayers that move HIM. So right after those tears have dropped, why don’t you say a prayer concerning whatever has made you cry: be it the nation, your loved one or even yourself. Remember 2Thess.5:17?

YOU NEED THAT FALL!

5th of October,2012

I fell this evening. Big deal! Well, that’s because I can hardly recall the last time or a time when I fell right into the gutter. That’s disgusting, right? Well, if you were me this evening, I don’t think you’ll be so much concerned with a stinking, disgusting gutter; you’d rather be concerned about how to get up fast so you I don’t have to face any more pain. Ah! It was real painful. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. The way I fell- it was all so sudden. You can imagine placing one of your legs forward expecting to meet solid ground only for you to realize that that leg is plunging you right into the gutter. ARRGH! Now that I think of it, I don’t even want to think of it.
You know, after some time, it felt okay to laugh even with the pain. I reasoned that sometimes, these things happen to add flavor to your day especially when you haven’t been so engaged; just to give you something to talk about or think about. On the other hand, I thank God. I thanked God( and I’m still thanking him) because I could have died or I could have lost one of my legs. But God is ever so faithful! Gurl, are you crazy? How can God be faithful when he could have stopped that fall.  Well, this is my answer and I am not crazy, God knows I needed that fall. You see, when things like this happen and you come out of it unscathed and alive and still able to laugh, then it stirs up your sense of appreciation towards God. It makes you appreciate God with your heart and not your lips. When you realize that you were inches away from being either crippled or dead then you’ll appreciate more, the gift of life that God has given you. Some people have met death through a fall like the one I had today and here I am still able to laugh it off and even, write about it. Abeg, make una thank God for me jhoooooor!

GOING BANANAS!

I love trying out new things.......well, that's me for you but it seems to freak out my mum sometimes. And banana has been featuring in all my new things quite a lot these days! The first thing I tried was banana and milk smoothie last week. It was quite tasty......as tasty as ice cream and then when I heard banana was also good for your face, I tried that one out yesterday too (no be my fault o, no job now!) and I kept checking the mirror this morning to see how it 'changed' my face. What does this have to do with God anyway?  A whole lot!

The Divine One-for-all Smoothie

Banana and milk smoothie tastes good.....quite alright, but this divine smoothie tastes even better. Sometimes, we are afraid, tempted, provoked, irritated and whatever it may be but I tell you, what banana and milk cannot do, this can. I call it divine because it is of God and then 'one-for-all' because it works in every situation with a very major ingredient, of course! Now, this is the recipe for the divine one-for-all smoothie:

The Word               as desired
Faith                       a very  generous amount

Method:
Blend 'The Word' with a very generous amount of faith and there! Enjoy the great taste!

Of course, a banana smoothie isn't a smoothie without bananas. So also is the Word without faith. So can you see now that this has everything to do with God. I feel like encouraging someone out there today.....because I did it this morning and it worked. I didn't even realize that's what I was doing at the time I did. I wanted to cross the road this morning (I'm always afraid of crossing the road because I'm not so experienced) and the road was so busy ; Isiah 41:10 just came to mind and I was like "He God, you said you would help me" and before I knew it, I was on the other side of the road. I don't think it's a small thing and I'm really thankful to God because some minutes after, an 'okada' rider missed me narrowly! Is that not God? Somebody, shout Alleluia!

Mirror,mirror on the wall

We probably know where that phrase comes from. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know it's Snow White. So after doing that banana and milk  thing last night, something kept occurring to me and it went like ''You would take the trouble to look your best physically but would you do the same spiritually?" Actually, this whole spiritual mirror thing was triggered by a post I read on my friend's blog site(www.ibksuper.blogspot.com) and it's really true! Would we take as much trouble ? All the 'eyeshadow-ing', 'mascara-ing', 'lipgloss-ing', 'pancake-ing' and like me, banana and milk facial we do just to look good for God-knows-who; all that looking in the mirror, are we doing the same in our spiritual lives? And it's so funny how banana and milk just relates to this again. The Word is the milk and banana, since it's a fruit, is like faith. To make the banana-milk facial mask, more milk is required than banana. So also, to take care of our spiritual faces, more of 'The Word' is required to constantly mirror ourselves whether we look the way God wants us to look or not. When I looked in the mirror this morning, those little devils called pimples were still there! Question is, did I really expect them to disappear overnight? That's why it's a matter of continuity. If I make it a beauty routine and I do strict follow-up, I am sure of a good result. Similarly, it's a matter of continuity in the spiritual realm. If we want all those little devils  to disappear from our spiritual faces, things like anger, malice, lying, stealing, fornication, indiscipline then we gotta follow up our own spiritual beauty routine which is reading the Word and exercising faith in it. After all, Paul says in I Peter 2:1-3,
Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking,
as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word that you may grow thereby,
if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
These verses are a very beautiful sum-up of everything. I just discovered as I was writing this that I tasted the banana and milk smoothie, saw that it was good, and applied it on my face too. Though, it did not give an instant result, I'm positive that if I continue, it will yield a flawless face. Thus, if we have indeed tasted the divine smoothie of God and we have seen how gracious it is, then we must desire to apply it on our spiritual faces so that we would grow to that flawless divine perfection!

LETTING GO 2

So, I was talking about success and perfection before I zoned out last time. You see, aiming for perfection is not quite the key to getting it right cuz there's every tendency that at some point, you'd not feel up to the task and that can be depressing.

 One Step at a time

You've probably heard Jordin Spark's song, One step at a time. Now, I'm not actually concerned with the song, it's just the message in the song that appeals to this post. When you take one step at a time and leave the strides for God. You'd see how much easier it would be. Refer to Proverbs 3:5-6 again and you'd see what I'm saying. That's why it's important to know who and where you are. It helps you to have a sense of purpose and then work towards achieving that purpose. God knows we are human........that's why He's an ever present help.

Let go...........Let God

At the end of the day, just let God. Stop trying to do things by your own strength. Truth is, God doesn't need you! So, stop acting like He does. Without you, God can still do it. I needed to understand this. It was when people talked to me about this that I realized; I realized how 'independent' I was trying to become and I was failing! You and I canNOT do without God. Never!

Now, I kinda know better, but then we have all got to realize that letting go does not mean compromising our faith and relaxing too much. It means putting our trust in God, aiming for success and leaving perfection for God and mostly, looking unto God not ourselves or others!
I leave y'all with  this:

Do not put your trust in princes
Nor in a son of man in  whom there is no help
 Psalm 146:3

LETTING GO

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths".
 Proverbs 3:5-6
                 NKJV

This morning, a flood of thoughts relating to this subject filled my mind and I'm like "OK, I gotta post this on my blog" and as I thought of a scriptural verse to back it up, the one above came to mind. Its been weeks since I last posted anything anyway, and I think this is a great comeback post to keep y'all dated on what's been happening. These past weeks have been some sort of an experience that has taught me extensively on just letting God take the lead. I'm still learning but hey! what's wrong with being a little generous?
Have you ever felt like you are the one to fix it? Have you felt that you must be the wind of change in some place or some situation? Have you ever felt like you have to live up to certain expectations or fulfill certain conditions?.................................and the list is endless. If like me, you have felt all this before then it's time to let go and I've got a couple o' tips for us!

Where are you?

If you feel this way, then you probably don't know where you are. In Gen. 3:9, God asked Adam,"Where are you?". Most of us have probably wondered why God asked that question. When God asks such questions, it's not because He doesn't know. It's because you don't know. If you are to define your purpose, that's the question you must answer. If you want restoration, that's the question you must answer. Deceiving yourself, I think, is the worst form of deception and if you don't ask yourself where you are, you can't get anywhere. It's just like getting out of your house without any destination in mind. Futile, right?

Who are you?

You and I make this mistake a lot. We don't know who we are; so we keep turning other people into ourselves and making them our goals so when we don't  match up, it's like our world has come crashing. We feel disappointed, angry, frustrated.............................Enough of that! Who are you? Take time and ask yourself this question. Get help if you need to- from parents, trusted friends or even columnists that deal with related issues. I did a couple of that and I was able to get back on track by God's grace. Realizing that God did not make you to be like any other person; that He made you to be you is perhaps, the most liberating discovery you can ever make.

Failure.....................................

Failure is inevitable and that's why in Ps. 91:12, it clearly explains that God has put the angels there to pick us up when we stumble. As J.K Rowling put it in her speech to the 2008 graduating set of Harvard, she said,''You might never fail on the scale I did, but some failure in life is inevitable. It is impossible to live
without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default".Of course, failure is something we all fear and dread and God himself has not planned for us to fail(Jer. 29:11). But then, there are unavoidable mistakes and events of failure we have to go through to make us wiser and stronger. When we realize this, you would not see that mistake or failure as a stumbling block, you'd see it as a stepping stone. More importantly, you'll not see it as a means to blame God, you'd see it as a means to thank God. That you are a child of God does not make you immune to failure.

Success vs. Perfection

"Aim for success not perfection", This morning, I remembered seeing this on the JAMB website yesterday and I saw how good a point it is. Success is not perfection. And in anything we do, if we keep aiming for perfection, we'd keep failing. Some of the things we would encounter if we aim for perfection instead of success would be:
The Fix-it Virus: We would think of ourselves as some sort of 'Mr Fix-it' and this attitude is very overwhelming. When we constantly think of ourselves as this, we would only end up disappointing ourselves and those around us. God doesn't need you to fix it up; He can work things out and fix them up himself but you were not designed for that purpose. So, don't try to force yourself on situations. They would change when God wants them to and not when you want them to.

The False Humility Syndrome: Just as AIDS is to HIV;so is the False Humility Syndrome to the Fix-it virus. When we are constantly plagued by the virus of fixing things up, it becomes so overwhelming that we begin to develop the false humility syndrome. Courtesy of a book called "The Final Quest", it explains that false humility is a form of pride and deception and it irritates God. It means that instead of trusting in Him to fill that void, you are trusting in yourself. We never can do anything on our own. We would always need God. And the good news is, ''He is with you". He told Moses, Jeremiah, Gideon,Joshua, Peter and now, He's telling you. He doesn't need you to be perfect, none of those people were. He is perfect and He needs you to look at Him instead of yourself!
Hmmph..............At this point, I'd have to say, "Watch out for Part 2!"
Just keep a date.

SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING!

Sometimes, we think that some things are too big or too small for God to do. If we are one of the 'wes', we had better have a rethink!
We are all familiar with the story of how Jesus fed a whopping five thousand people with only five loaves and two fishes and how there were twelve baskets of leftover after (Mark 6:37-44). Do we also know that sometime later, he fed another four thousand with seven loaves of bread and what the Bible records as few fishes? And that there were seven baskets of leftover?(Mark 8: 4-8)
If you compare this two stories as I did,you would find that he fed even more people with less food.
When stuff happens to us and we think God is not there or God has forgotten about us or whatever, use these stories as a point of contact to that situation in your life. They are not called 'The Word of God' for nothing. There is an unparalelled power in 'The Word'. God is the Most Powerful God and when HE does some things, HE uses it to show us  how great and powerful HE is. Remember the story of Lazarus?
The Lord loved him and could have gone immediately He heard that the young man was sick but then He waited till Lazarus died so that He could make known his glory and power.
That problem or difficulty we are facing in our lives today is not too big for God! Wait until you hear this............. Isiah 43:19 says He makes a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert! He makes living beings out of dry bones (Ezekiel 37:5). He makes flesh out of stone (Ezekiel 11:19). He makes rock out of  miry clay and sets your feet on it (Psalm 40:2). He makes beauty out of ashes
Dear friends,I could go on and on!
Bottom line is - HE MAKES SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING!

HEY...........JUST CALL HIM!

We get better at something everyday, right?
So it is with our prayer lives too. Everyday should be an opportunity for us to get better at talking to the Almighty One. Prayer is basically, communicating with God. It is however, common to find that its hard for most people to pray. I used to have very bad prayer life so much so that I used to loathe being called upon to pray when the family was praying. I used to think that if I pray for one hour in a day, then there was no need to pray again for that day. Infact, I used to think prayer was a bore. How wrong I was!
By HIS grace, all that has changed now and I am still learning. I am telling us this because the power in prayer cannot be underestimated. A sincere and willing heart is all it takes to make that phone call to God in prayer. A couple of experiences have taught me this and its not like I've mastered it, I'll just have to keep learning but then if we see prayer as nothing more than a bore, we'll be getting it all wrong. Prayer is just picking up your spiritual phone and calling God. Prayer is the greatest privilege we have because God is the most important audience we can ever have. It's a conversation, a two-way thing that involves you and God.
It feels like a one way thing sometimes, as if its only you talking, but sometimes we really need to wait and hear God. He might not be talking to you audibly (at least I have not yet experienced that) but He might just be putting a bible verse in your heart. That's talking to you!
I have got a few tips to share with y'all concerning prayer, gathered from a couple of teachings I have heard.
First, Worship God using songs(Oh, I love doing this) or words(just call HIM names like Alpha and Omega, Omnipotent, Omnipresent.....................) or you can even do both. Either way, worshipping God is very important before talking at all. It is a way of putting you in your place. When you do this, you remind yourself of how great God is. Thank HIM too(that's super important) before and after praying
Always make reference to the Scriptures when praying. You can make a list of prayer points. Its not hard: just build your prayers on some scriptural verses. Always ask for HIS will to be done. Even Jesus asked for His will to be done when praying. Voice out your feelings when praying too. For instance, when I find that I am getting distracted, I voice it out and tell God to take it away. God is not some stone-hearted God who doesn't understand your human nature. Finally................................never cease! We need God everywhere and everytime so we just need to keep calling HIM. Its a way of telling HIM 'God, I'll never let you go'. Thess 5:17 commands us to 'pray without ceasing.' No vain repetitions(Matt 6:7). Prayer is not by how many words; its the heart behind it that matters. You could read Matthew 6: 5-14 for more help.
And if you ever have any cause to be discouraged..........................Hey, just call him!( He's an ever present help in time of trouble).

KILLER ON THE PROWL!

There's a killer on the prowl!
And it springs up everytime 'n' everywhere
It's more deadly than the Egyptian plagues
It can put you on  the wrong side of God
Is it a devil?
Or a demon?
A monster?
A beast?
Ha ha ha ha ha!
It is all of this and more put together!
My dear friends, it is......................................................... PRIDE!
And it is lurking everywhere waiting to feed on our souls and lead to our own 'Luciferic' fall. I do not write as one who is not plagued by this disease. It is in fact, my biggest weakness.
Especially when it comes to 'the faith'! Pride is what prevents us from attaining higher levels of glory; we begin to think we have arrived after we have felt the Spirit move or after we;ve encountered a measure of God's glory. I say a measure because only God knows how big-headed we'll become if HE releases HIS glory to us in large doses. We experience only the small doses and then we begin to trust in our own ways instead of looking at HIM. (Read proverbs 3:5-6) We begin to think we are so spirituaaaaaaaaaaaal!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know the feelings very well because i'm one of the 'we'! But hey, we can wage a war against this killer before it kills us all. Remember, God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble'. If we remember the story of Michal, Solomon's daughter and David's wife who because of pride, did not bear children all her life or Queen Vashti who was deposed or Nebuchadnezzar who was sentenced to live like an animal or King Saul who was deposed too.................................................
Then next time we get on our knees, we'd all ask him in truth for the MANTLE OF HUMILITY!

Yours Blogfully: I STAND IN AWE OF YOU

Yours Blogfully: I STAND IN AWE OF YOU:   As I read through Psalm 64:9 yester morning,  a song named 'I stand in awe of you' came to mind and I decided to name this piece after it....

I STAND IN AWE OF YOU

As I read through Psalm 64:9 yester morning,  a song named 'I stand in awe of you' came to mind and I decided to name this piece after it.
Have you ever looked at the skies; how pure and blue, big and endless they are with white clouds that look like pieces of heavenly wool?
Have you ever marvelled at how the rains come down; how they seem to come from nowhere and yet they just fall out of the skies?
Have you ever wondered at how beautiful it looks during sunset, the orange and peach hues that announce the closing of the day?
Or let's take a break from the realm of nature
Have you ever taken time to think deeply about the many instances in which God has been there for you? It could have been just a fall; but Hey! if not for God, it would have been 'just' your death.
Have you ever thought that this God has hordes of peoples; a host of nations (not counting the birds, plants and other animals) to answer to, yet HE's still there for you when you need HIM and when you call HIM.
Have you ever thought about the kind of father that would send his only son to suffer and die like an ordinary person when infact, the son is a prince?........................................................
There's so many more I could say; so many experiences that define and redefine God in more ways than one but........................................................................................
Bottomline is - we can never truly understand God! He was, is still and will still be a mystery to people all over the world including you.
When you think of all these things I've mentioned, you'd have no choice but to stand in awe of HIM!
So, next time you get on your knees to praise God, don't forget to say
'My Father and My God, I stand in awe of you'

IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU!

"I am Almighty God; walk before me and be blameless". Genesis 17: 1b,c,d
Who was God speaking to in this text?   ..............................................................
We would be right to say Abraham( or Abram, then) but errrrr........not completely!
This verse speaks, not only to Abraham, but to us also.
If we follow the story of Abraham, we'd see that God indeed blessed and multiplied this man.
A pang of envy might play across the minds of some of us (e.g me), or better still, an outright admiration for this truly blessed man. We might even find ourselves asking, 'How can I be as righteous as this man (in this 21st century o)'?
My dear friends, it's high time we stopped asking ourselves such a question! Samuel could have joined Eli's sons in disregarding the sacrificial offerings. Joseph could have yielded to Potiphar's wife's pressure.Daniel could have stopped praying when the decree was made.
So also, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego could have bowed to that 'yeye' king. But y'know what? They all did the right thing instead of conforming and God, indeed, blessed them. Evil would always abound in every age and time. As true servants of God, it is up to us to either do what is right or to conform to what we see around us.
Recently, I got into a conversation with one of my friends on FB(she's also a blogger) and she asked me, D'you know you are righteous?'
In my mind, I was like 'Ah Ah! what's this girl saying?'
By the time she explained to me, it became a food for thought and so over the next few days, I have savored each morsel of this 'food for thought' (with renowned Chef Holy Spirit, of course!) and I gotta share this 'Cuisine of truth' with y'all!
We would observe throughout Abram's course in the Scriptures that this gentle and faithful patriarch, did not in anyway, regard himself as righteous.
That's in fact, where most Christians miss it today! We think that because we go for Bible Study on Tuesdays, Faith Clinic on Thursdays, and attend church on Sundays; because we are Sunday school teachers, ushers, choir members or prayer warriors; because we always dance and sing during praise-worship sessions; because we attend every programme our church organises, then we should be called 'righteous!'
Sorry to burst your bubble, that's an emphatic NO!
Attending church regularly and working in church shows dedication and faith to God (don't get me wrong) but they are NOT the basis for righteousness. They only serve as ways by which our faith in Christ is nurtured and our gratitude to God is expressed. They do NOT in any way, serve as a measure of one's righteousness and until we begin to see beyond this mentality, we would not get a true picture of what walking before GOD in righteousness means.
What then does 'walking before God in righteousness' mean?
Isiah 54 says it all! I love this chapter because it reels off beautiful promises from God- about how HIS kindness will not depart from us; about how HE will lay our stones with colourful gems and so on, but the last verse, verse 17, does not fail to state that,
'.....................................This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,' says the Lord.
Voila!
So, dear friends, I want us to know that when we try our human best to do what is right, our righteousness is really from the Lord. Walking before HIM in righteousness means knowing we are not perfect but that, our sincere and personal relationship with HIM (not lusting after HIS favours but loving HIM for who HE is) would always move HIM to give us the grace we need to do that which is right. Even Apostle Paul said, 'But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ......................'. Gal. 6:14
These are the words of a man who had suffered all forms of persecution for Christ, a man who along with other disciples, laboured  to establish Christ's Church.( What greater service can there be?) Yet, he still boasted in his imperfection.
Dear friends, humility in your relationship with God is the best form of righteousness and
until you see it this way, you will not receive the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus(as my dear friend put it) cuz really, 'It's not about you'!

DESTITUTES IN THE CHRISTIAN RACE 2

I promised to share with y'all, the whole new meaning my eyes were opened to and I strongly believe I could never have deciphered this on my own so dear brethren, I wrote this but it was really authored by the Spirit!
So, in the last piece, I was opportuned to present you with what we might really look like in the spirit realm as destitutes. Now, what  does the parable of the sower have to do with destitution. A whole lot! I tell you.
In the parable of the sower, there are three categories of destitutes in the Christian race.
THOSE WHO LACK SEED OF UNDERSTANDING- Now, this is made clear to us in Matt13:19 that they are those who hear the word but do not understand and so whatever is sown in their heart is taken away! They are like the seeds which fell by the wayside. Matt13:12 says 'For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance but whoever, does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him'
Lack of understanding, prevents these from accepting, repenting, believing and inviting Jesus into their hearts (ARBI- the 4-way rule of salvation)! And so, what happens, In Matt13:15, Jesus explains that their hearts grow dull, their eyes become hard of hearing and their eyes of closed. They, then continue to live in that cold darkness. May God have mercy!
Again, there are THOSE WHO LACK DEPTH(ROOT) OF UNDERSTANDING- These are the ones whose seed of faith are sown on stony places. They receive the word immiediately with so much joy that in no time, their seeds spring up into budding plants. How wonderful!
Alas! when the persecutions come, when the tribulations come, when trials and temptations come, like a plant which has no depth of earth or no roots, the lack of depth or root of understanding in them gives way to destitution and so it is my dear brethren, they become destitutes! Now, depth of understanding is that which makes you to persevere even in the face of adversity. A very good example is Job who never cursed God despite all he went through.
There are now THOSE WHO LACK SHOOT OF UNDERSTANDING- Ah! these ones are 'jaiye-jaiye' as Yorubas will say. They hear the word, receive it and understand it, but then when the time comes to bear fruit, thorns in form of wordly cares spring up and POW! They are gone! Yes, they are well-rooted but when the time comes for the shoot to sprout, nothing happens again giving rise to destitution.
Hmmn.......... Job 14:7 says, For there is hope for a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its tender shoots will not cease.
We should examine ourselves, Are we destitutes in the Christian race? In what way are we destitute? The good news is....................... There is still hope as Job 14:7 makes it clear to us. Let us therefore turn to God in prayer and ask him to restore us.
Remember, 'He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins'
And HE WILL!!

DESTITUTES IN THE CHRISTIAN RACE

When the word, 'destitute', is mentioned, what picture comes to mind? Is it the faces whose contours are deeply lined with poverty and hunger ? Is it those haggard-looking people out there on the streets, seated by the road sidewalks with little empty bowls waiting to receive money from passers-by? or do you think of just those people who are plagued by lack- lack of clothing, of food and of shelter. Hmmn! Like Jesus once said in the Bible, 'You do well!'. If you thought of these things, you have conjured an almost perfect picture of what it means to be destitute.
However, have we ever stopped for a split second and imagined that in the spiritual realm, we might look just like 'those people'? Have we ever considered that we might just be the destitutes in the Christian race.
How? we may ask................................
The dictionary defines the word, 'destitute', as lacking or devoid of something. As destitutes in the Christian race, we might be rich and not lacking in material things at all, we might look all fancy and tushed up on the outside but on the inside, our  little empty bowls are really there, begging for understanding of the word.  In other words, destitutes in the Christian race lack understanding of things pertaining to the spirit.
In Matt.13:14-15, Jesus speaks of those who see but do not really see, those who hear but do not really hear nor understand! Who are these people sef?! My dear brothers and sisters, look no further - they are the
destitutes in the Christian race! Most times, when we study a particular passage in the Bible more than once, I believe the Holy Spirit opens our eyes to see the different sides to that one passage at different times. Matthew 13 is no exception; we might have come across the parable of the sower at one time or the other. I, myself, have been privileged to study it more than once and by the Spirit, I have been opened to a totally different dimension to it which I think I should share with y'all. Hmmn.. what's this new meaning sef!
Well, why don't you wait for the next part?
Afterall the Bible says,' Wait' in Psalm 27:14.
Abeg, Na 'Wait on the Lord' o! (LOL)
